Event Element 2019

The Soirée Element, benefitting the Montérégie Chapter of the Mulitple Sclerosis Society of Canada, took place on Friday, October 4 at Cirque Éloize. Nearly 500 guests took part in the 11th edition of the event presented by ACURA. An astounding $100,000 was raised thanks to your generosity. We also want to thank the following caterers and restaurants for their generosity and for serving savoury appetizers during the VIP cocktail and bite-size desserts over the course of the evening: Brera traiteur, Verses bistro, le 409 brasserie indienne, Gaspésie camion gourmand, la Bête à pain Griffintown, Boursin, Attitude Fraîche, la poutine de la cuisse KreyolDélices Lafrenaie for the wall of donuts and desserts, Les Différents for their cupcakes, and Squish for their candy. Thank you as well to Cirque Éloize for their welcome and for offering a stunning performance featuring two trapeze artists, a stilt walker in an evening gown, and two acrobats at the bar who dazzled us with their high-flying manoeuvres.

Thank you to DJs Dudley and Bruno Berdnikoff, talented painter JOA, Balloon Lounge for the balloons, Zone Optique, as well as everyone who took part in the silent auction where more than 50 prestigious items were up for grabs. At the end of the evening, every guest was able to choose an item from the gift bar thanks to donations from David’s TeaOblic, Guru, L’Oréal, Fruits et Passion, Amore Pacific, Coca-Cola, Organik,  and Innovation. Valet services were provided by Chevalier Valet Service.

 

Researchers funded by the MS Society are able to pursue their work with the goal of discovering the causes underlying MS, improving treatments (both in terms of efficiency and side effects), and ultimately, curing all forms of MS.

Canada has one of the highest rates of multiple sclerosis in the world, with an estimated 77,000 cases. Even though it is most often diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 49, MS also affects children and adults of all ages.
